This was born of the need to simplify connecting up our cameras and remote heads in outside broadcast situations.
The Simply SMPTE 4K Max 3-Box will pass give channels of 3G HD-SDI, stereo audio, and Camera Corps audio control data from a camera position back to the base unit. It'll also send one channel of 3G HD-SDI, analogue Genlock and stereo audio back, and then in addition RS232, RS422 RS485 and two channels of GPIO and ethernet in both directions.
The remote unit has two 12v DC power outputs (6 amps total max) and can also supply up to 450w of isolated mains power out when used in conjunction with the mid-box as a full system.
With this range of signal compatibility, you can rig an entire camera position (with an operator or as a remote head) and get all of your signals down just one cable back to the base position.
