Polecam provides smooth, floating jib arm shots, with the ability to relocate with ease. This is due to the fact that Polecam can be attached to the body by way of a harness that has been designed in conjunction with a registered osteopath to aid weight distribution and portability. It can also be fixed to a floor standing tripod.
The Polecam rig comes complete with 5 universal carbon fibre sections (1 as a spare) each measuring over 1m (3ft) in length and 4cm (1.6in) in diameter.The counterweight arm of the Polecam only protrudes a maximum of 1m (3ft) to the rear.This arm contains the counterweights, batteries (10Ah), CCU and Interface Box.
The 3 chip ‘mini’ camera is fitted to its own mini pan and tilt head and is controlled via the operator’s joystick, which is incorporated into the Polecam’s central arm.
In addition to the standard head, FishFace, the latest Polecam head, is a completely submersible pan & tilt unit and camera housing.
The FishFace housing will accommodate a ‘mini’ camera and has a 360 degree pan capability, with fully un-restricted movement identical to that of the standard dry head.
Full control of the camera is possible via our RCP Panel, allowing complete control of up to 6 cameras.

Polecam with Narrow Head
The main difference between the Wide and Narrow head is the lower profile for Minicam’s and the use of different gearboxes and gearing.
The Narrow Head has a maximum pan speed is 2x faster than the Wide Head so it completes a 360-degree pan in 3 seconds. The slowest Pan speed is 360 degrees in 15 minutes which is about 15 times slower than the older Polecam heads.
